Together with adjacent re-export zone (TUSDEER), JIP’s newest facility will generate substantial enhancements in container handling productivity as well as increasing efficiency standards all over port’s facilities.
With four berths and 50,000TEU stacking yard, serviced by the world largest tandem-lift, super post-panamax ZPMC Quay cranes sand no fewer than 26 rubber-tyred gantries (RTGs) equipped with advance devices, such as Crane Monitoring Systems (CMS), single and twin lifts RSGT offers operational efficiency and optimal cargo movement .
Adding over 1.8 million TEU’s to the existing port’s capacity, It is the only facility at the Red Sea port with a dedicated navigation channel (300m wide) and deep water draught up to 18m, allowing for next generation supersize 13,000+ container vessels.
Other terminal facilities include the latest terminal operating software systems, Navis Sparcs N4, as well as a “smart” gate automation Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology as well as other IT systems.
